NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) held the Class 12 physics exam today, March 6. The exam was held between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Students who appeared for the physics exam today found the questions moderate to above average. The Class 12 physics question paper had questions from NCERT textbook. The CBSE 12th physics question paper was set in line with the sample paper provided at the official website -- cbseacademic.ac.in.

Analysing the paper as moderate, balanced and as expected, Sanjeev Kumar, Physics Faculty, Silverline Prestige School said: “The direct questions were quite easy and the competency-based questions were average. Students were able to attempt the paper in time.”

Students, Kumar added, were satisfied and happy after the exam.

“The questions of case study were application based but the MCQs were mostly easy to moderate. Students found that approximately 15% questions were above average,” he added.

While Yogita Sharma, PGT Physics, Academic Coordinator KIIT World School, Gurugram analysed the paper as moderate to challenging.

Saying that the Class 12 physics question paper was also lengthy and time-consuming, Sharma said: “Most students felt Section-C difficult and time-consuming. Section C was considered difficult, while Section D was considered moderate to difficult level.”

“Questions based on case studies required conceptual knowledge and questions in Set 1 and 2 were absolutely similar, whereas in Set 3, tricky application-based and graph questions were different,” she added.

Analysing the CBSE 12th physics question paper as above average, Virendra Verma, PGT physics, DPS Indirapuram said: “Some of the MCQs were lengthy and time taking. Rest of the paper was quite balanced though one question in set 1 was not exactly from the prescribed syllabus.”
