• As per the guidelines, students must not carry any electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators etc.

• Students must keep the admit card with them and verify all the documents before going to the examination.

• Students are not allowed to write anything on the question papers.

• Snacks are not allowed at the examination hall. Exceptions will be made for diabetic students.

• Students must verify that the subjects they have studied for are listed correctly in the list submitted to the schools.

• Students are required to arrive at the examination centre at least 30-45 minutes before the reporting time specified in the CBSE datesheet 2024 Class 10 and 12. No one will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the reporting time.

• Students must carry the admit cards issued by CBSE. Students without admit cards will not be permitted to sit in the examination.

• The answer booklets and question papers will be distributed 15 minutes before the exam starts. Students must use that time to fill in their details and go through the question paper.

• Students are strictly prohibited from bringing unfair items to the exam hall.

The next main exam of CBSE Class 12 will be Geography subject, which will be held on February 29, 2024.

The recommendations of conducting open book tests for higher secondary classes were given in the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE) 2023. The passing mark in CBSE Class 12 is 33% to clear the exam.

She said “Structured similarly to the CBSE-issued sample paper, the paper was somewhat lengthy and required critical thinking to solve. The grammar in Section B was easy, and the writing tasks in the form of a letter to the editor and a complaint letter were both manageable. Sharing section-wise analysis, Aashita Chauhan, TGT, KIIT World School said that both of the unseen passage portions in Section A were trivial and needed a little thought. The inferential questions required considerable thought and could be easily misinterpreted. Analysis, deductive reasoning, and critical thinking were the foundations of the questions.

The CBSE Class 10 English (Communicative) and English (Language and Literature) exams for the CBSE Class 10 2024 will take place on Monday, 26th February. The examination, which will last for two hours, will commence at 10.30 am and conclude at 1.30 pm.

The CBSE Class 12 examinations 2024 are scheduled to take place from February 15 to April 2. The Class 12 Chemistry exam will be held on February 27.

Students who will be appearing in the CBSE Class 10 board exams 2024 are required to bring their admit card and school identity card with them on the day of the examination.

Students must score 33% marks in each subject and in aggregate to pass the CBSE Class 10 board exams 2024.

One of the two Long Answer Type Questions from the book "Footprints Without Feet" pertains to the theme or plot, requiring interpretation, extrapolation beyond the text, inference, or character sketch. This question should be answered concisely within a word limit of approximately 100-120 words. (6 marks)

Two of the three short answer questions must be responded to within 40-50 words each from the book FOOTPRINTS WITHOUT FEET to evaluate interpretation, analysis, inference, and evaluation. (2x3=6 marks)

One of the two Long Answer Type Questions from FIRST FLIGHT should be responded to with approximately 100-120 words each, focusing on creativity, imagination, and extrapolation beyond the text and across the text. This question may be based on a passage from a specific situation or plot within the text. (6 marks)

Four out of every five short answer type questions from the book FIRST FLIGHT need to be answered concisely within a word limit of 40-50 words. These questions aim to evaluate the reader's ability to interpret, analyze, infer, and evaluate the content of the book. (4x3=12 marks)

The assessment will consist of Multiple Choice Questions, Objective Type Questions, Very Short Answer Questions (one word/one sentence), and Short Answer Questions (to be answered in 30-40 words) to evaluate inference, analysis, interpretation, evaluation, and vocabulary skills.  

Reference to the Context (5+5 = 10 Marks) 

• One extract out of two from Drama / Prose. 
• One extract out of two from poetry

• Writing a Formal Letter based on a given situation, in 100-120 words. One out of two questions is to be answered (5 marks)
• Writing an Analytical Paragraph in 100-120 words on a given Map/Chart/ Graph /Cue/s. One out of two questions is to be answered (5 marks)

In the Grammar section, the ability to use spelling, punctuation, and grammar accurately in different contexts will be evaluated through exercises such as gap-filling, editing, and transformation. It is required to attempt ten out of the twelve questions.

Grammar (10 Marks)

• Reported speech (Commands and requests, Statements and Questions) 

• Discursive passage of 400-450 words- (10 marks) 
• Case-based factual passage (with visual input- statistical data, chart, etc.) of 200-250 words- (10 marks)

(Total length of two passages to be 600-700 words) Multiple Choice Questions / Objective Type Questions, and Short Answer Questions (to be answered in 30-40 words) will be asked to assess comprehension, interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, and vocabulary.

CBSE Class 10 English different section weightage is given below

• Reading Skills- 20 Marks 
• Writing Skills with Grammar- 20 Marks
• Language through Literature- 40 Marks

CBSE Class 10 English exam carries 80 marks each for the written exam and 20 marks are reserved for the internal assessment. 

The board is all set to conduct the CBSE Class 12 exam for Taxation, and Artificial Intelligence subjects tomorrow. Both exams will begin at 10:30 am and will end at 1:30 pm.
