Apply NowNEW DELHI: For the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) Class 12 Term 2 exams 2021-22, the mathematics syllabus will cover three units, Calculus, Vectors and Three-Dimensional Geometry, and Probability.

The Class 12 CBSE Board exam 2021-22 exam and syllabus has been revised owing to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation. The syllabus has been divided almost equally into two sections for the two-term exams. The CBSE Term 2 examination is expected to be conducted in March-April 2022. The CBSE Term 1 question paper was multiple-choice questions (MCQ) type, whereas the CBSE term 2 question paper will be of subjective type.

While in the CBSE Term 1 exam, students were only given 90 minutes to finish the exam, the CBSE Term 2 exam duration will be 2 hours. The detailed list of topics of the Class 12 mathematics syllabus for the term 2 exams is given below:

The weightage for the CBSE Class 12 term 2 science exam will be 40 marks. Besides, a 10 marks internal assessment will be conducted. The same marking scheme has been followed in the term 1 mathematics exam too. Hence, the grand total marks will be 100.

CBSE Term 2 Mathematics Syllabus: Chapters
Students will have to cover as many as chapters from three units in the term 2 syllabus for Class 12 exams. These are the units and chapters:
Unit 3 - Calculus: Integrals, Applications of the integrals, Differential Equations
Unit 4 - Vectors and Three-Dimensional Geometry: Vectors, Three-Dimensional Geometry
Unit 6 - Probability: Probability

Meanwhile, CBSE Schools Management Association (CSMA), a school teachers’ organisation in Tamil Nadu has requested the board to cancel the CBSE term 1 exams and not validate the marks. It has written to the board regarding the "loopholes and consequent malpractice and technical issues causing prejudice in CBSE Class 10, 12 terms 1 exam 2021".
