CBSE issues guidelines to fill exam centre code in Class 10 answer sheet

Attempt NowNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE term 2 exam for Classes 10th and 12th has commenced today, April 26, 2022. The board has issued guidelines to fill centre code in Class 10 answer sheet. In an official notification, CBSE has said that this year the centre code allotted to all the centres will consist of 6 numeric digits instead of 5 numeric digit.

“Some answer books of Class 10 are having space for entering only 5 numeric digits on the title page of the answer books. This is only in case of schools situated in the jurisdiction of regional offices of Patna, Praygraj, Trivandrum, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar and Chennai. The correct method has been explained by the board," read the CBSE official notice.
CBSE has asked schools to brief their students about the correct method of filling centre code in the answer sheets having space for only 5 numeric digits. The board also asked
exam centres to brief their staff on invigilation duty about the correct way of entering the centre code in the answer books in case of having 5 digit space in it.
“The invigilators shall personally check the centre code filled in all by the examinees in the answer sheets to ensure the correctness of the centre number”, read the notice further.
Class 10 students are appearing for subjects such as Painting, Gurung, Rai, Tamang, Sherpa, and Thai. While class 12, the exam for Entrepreneurship, Beauty and Wellness papers will be conducted. The board has asked students to follow the COVID-19 guidelines such as wearing masks, and avoid gathering near the exam centre.
