CISCE cancels ICSE, ISC compartment exam, introduces re-evaluation from 2024

NEW DELHI: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has cancelled compartment exams for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) Class 12 board exams 2024. In line with the NEP 2020, the board has decided to introduce re-evaluation of answer scripts.
The CISCE board has uploaded the ICSE, ISC date sheet 2024 on the official website, cisce.org. As per the board exam 2024 dates, ICSE Class 10th exam 2024 will be held from February 21 and ISC Class 12th exams from February 12.
The ICSE, ISC re-evaluation of results has been introduced in addition to the recheck of answer scripts after the result declaration. As per the latest update, the board announced to declare the CISCE Class 10, 12 board results 2024 in the month of May.

Students will, however, be able to appear in the CISCE improvement exams for a maximum of two subjects from the exam year 2024 onwards.
Candidates will have to pay Rs 1,500 per subject for re-evaluation. The charges paid for re-evaluation of answer scripts will be non-refundable. The ICSE, ISC re-evaluation results will be declared within three weeks through the website of CISCE www.cisce.org.
The board said that the re-evaluation of answer scripts will be carried out by a competent person appointed by the Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE. Students will have to carry the admit card, school ID card to the exam hall for verification purposes.
