NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced that the CLAT 2022 will be conducted on May 8, 2022, while CLAT 2023 exam will also be conducted in the same year, on December 18, 2022. Both law entrance exams will be conducted in offline, pen and paper mode.
“The consortium has resolved to conduct two Common Law Admission Tests in the year 2022,” Live Law reported.
The consortium has also elected Poonam Saxena, Vice-Chancellor, National Law University, Jodhpur as Vice President of the new CLAT executive committee. V.C. Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor, Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur has been elected as CLAT Convenor, 2022.
The consortium has also reduced the counselling fees from Rs 50,000 to Rs 30,000. For reserved category candidates, the counselling fees will be Rs. 20,000.
The CLAT 2022 application form will be released soon, on its official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT will be conducted for admission to 22 national law universities that offer 5-year integrated LLB and LLM programmes.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 or will appear in the board examination are eligible to apply for UG-CLAT 2022, while candidates who have completed LLB or are in the final year of the LLB programme can apply for CLAT LLM.
In the previous session, CLAT was conducted on July 26, 2021, in more than 80 cities across the country. The admission process was completed by August 23, 2021.
