CTET 2024 begins; paper 1, 2 shift timings; what not to carry inside exam hall
CTET shift 1 exam for paper 2 will be held between 9.30 am to 12 noon and shift 2 for paper 1 exam will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 5 pm. It is mandatory to carry the CTET hall ticket.

NEW DELHI: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2024) will be held today to determine the eligibility of candidates for Classes 1 to 8 teacher recruitment. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed candidates to carry the CTET admit card 2024 downloaded from the official website, ctet.nic.in, to the exam centre to be allowed entry. Entry timings of shift 1 and shift 2 are 7.30 am and 12.30 pm, after which no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall. Candidates are also required to follow all the CTET exam guidelines throughout the exam. As per the CTET exam timings, shift 1 will be held between 9.30 am to 12 noon and shift 2 from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.
Candidates will be given a sealed test booklet with an answer sheet fifteen minutes before the exam commences. “Cases where a candidate has not signed the Attendance Sheet second time will be deemed not to have handed over the OMR Sheet and dealt with as an unfair means case,” the board said.
CTET 2024: What not to carry
- Any stationery item like printed or written textual material, bits of papers, geometry, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, eraser, whitener, calculator, log table, electronic pen, scanner, cardboard etc should not be carried inside the exam hall.
- Any communication or electronic devices like mobile phones, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band are prohibited.
- Any wrist watch, wallet, goggles, handbags, gold or artificial ornaments etc are not allowed.
- Any other items which are found to aid candidates in cheating will be considered as use of unfair means.
- Smoking, chewing gutka, and spitting in the exam room is strictly prohibited.
- Tea, coffee, cold drinks, or snacks are not allowed inside the examination centre.
