CUET 2022: Know all about exam pattern, syllabus, participating universities

NEW DELHI: The much awaited common entrance test for all central universities known as Common University Entrance Test or CUET will be held in the first week of July. The CUET 2022 application form for UG programmes will be released in the first week of April.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) had earlier released a notification about the CUET 2022 entrance exam for admission to 45 central universities.
M Jagadesh Kumar, chairman, UGC said in a report by ANI that it is compulsory for all central universities to provide admission to their undergraduate programmes based on the scores of CUCET 2022. However, it’s not mandatory for admission to postgraduate programmes.
CUET exam pattern
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the CUET 2022 entrance exam in two shifts. The first shift includes one language test, two domain-specific papers and a general test. The second shift of the CUET exam 2022 consists of four domain-specific subjects and one optional language subject.
The CUCET 2022 entrance exam for admission to UG courses will be held in 13 languages namely Hindi, Punjabi, Assamese, Bengali, Odia, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Urdu and English. The NTA will conduct the CUET 2022 entrance exam for 27 specific domains and students can choose upto six subjects of their choice along with one compulsory language exam.

CUET syllabus
Candidates who wish to appear in the entrance exam should check the CUCET syllabus 2022. It must be noted that the CUET syllabus aligns with the syllabus of Class 10th and 12th. Some of the test domains are biotechnology, economics, history, accountancy, biology, geography, home science, bookkeeping, chemistry, computer science, business studies, entrepreneurship, engineering graphics, legal studies, physical education, mathematics, physics, political science, psychology, sociology, agriculture, teaching aptitude and more.
CUET participating universities
A total of 45 central universities will be participating in the CUET 2022. These participating universities will release their own merit list prepared based on the marks secured by candidates in the CUET 2022 entrance exam. The universities will also host their own counseling process and use the merit list to enroll candidates in the various courses.
The officials at Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University have confirmed that admission to UG programmes offered at DU and JNU will be offered through the CUET 2022 entrance exam.
