CUET UG 2023: 26 more institutes opt for CUET; complete list of participating universities

NEW DELHI: The second-edition of Common University Entrance Test-undergraduate (CUET UG 2023) exam is scheduled to be held from May 21 to May 31, 2023. This year, the number of universities who have opted to offer admission to UG programmes through CUET 2023 scores have increased.
Ninety universities participated in the debut-edition of CUET UG exam. An additional 26 universities have decided to participate in the CUET 2023, taking the total number of participating universities to 116. The University Grants Commission (UGC) made it mandatory for participating universities to use CUET scores for admission but also gave them the liberty in deciding their respective admission processes.
Ten universities which were exempted last year from taking part in the CUET UG have been included this year, except for Nagaland University. BSc (Hons) and BTech programmes offered under the Nagaland University ‘have been exempted from Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2022) in tune with the exemption for admission to UG programmes in affiliated colleges…” a notice dated July 27, 2022 read.

The 9 central universities that are added this year are Sikkim University, Rajiv Gandhi University, Manipur University, Assam University, Tezpur University, Tripura University, Mizoram University, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU).
Applicants who wish to pursue UG programmes in the central universities or other participating institutions will have to submit the CUET UG application form 2023 by March 12, 2023 at cuet.samarth.ac.in.
Recently, the University of Delhi (DU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Pondicherry University, Jamia Millia Islamia , announced the UG admission 2023 process. AMU has decided to offer 8 courses based on CUET UG 2023 results. JMI informed that it will not offer admission to all its programmes through CUET, however it is planning to increase the number of programmes offered based on CUET scores. Last year, JMI admitted students based on CUET UG results in 10 programmes.

CUET UG 2023: List of universities
The participating universities that accept CUET UG 2023 scores will have their own admission requirements for a specific programme. Candidates applying for CUET UG 2023 can visit the NTA CUET official website, cuet.samarth.ac.in, to know the number of courses offered by each university, eligibility criteria and admission selection process.
