NEW DELHI : The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has said that a decision regarding the Teacher Recruitment Exam (TRE) phase 3 exam held on March 15 will be taken after receiving ‘concrete evidence’ on paper leak. The commission said that proper evidence is not available in the report provided by the crime division. BPSC TRE 3 paper was allegedly leaked.
In an official statement, the commission informed that a report was provided by the economic and cyber crime division on March 16 regarding the alleged leak of the question paper. During the review done by the commission on the report provided, it has come to light that standard evidence regarding the question paper being leaked before the commencement of the exam is not available in the said report.
In connection with the alleged leak of the question paper, a special team was formed by the crime division which raided several places in Hazaribagh at 5 am on March 15, the commission said. Information about gathering of hundreds of candidates to memorize the answers and recovery of mobile phone, laptop, printer, pendrive etc. in the course of the raid was reported.
“The first information regarding the question paper leak was provided to the commission by 2.30 pm. Before that, the first shift examination had ended at 12 pm and the second shift examination had started at 2.30 pm,” BPSC stated.
The case of alleged question paper leak is under investigation by the economic offenses unit.
