Delhi govt to organise zonal level career conclave for Class 12 students on March 26, 28
Career Conclave is organized for Class 12 government school students for skills awareness, career guidance for courses and employability.

NEW DELHI: The Delhi government’s Educational Vocational Guidance Bureau (EVGB) is planning to organise zonal level career conclave for Class 12 students in all 29 zones on March 26 and 28 with the aim to disseminate career information, create career awareness about various opportunities and thereby making outgoing students career ready.

“For the last two years, State Level Career Conclave could not be organized due to COVID-19 Pandemic and COVID restrictions as consumed most crucial time of the year which was necessary for any mega event. Now as the situation has improved considerably and most of the restrictions have been lifted, the education department has taken the decision,” read an official circular.
Career Conclave Guidelines
Some of the guidelines for celebrating career day are:
1. Venue for celebrating career day will be selected by the DDE (Zone) in coordination with DDE District. The venue must have an auditorium with proper arrangement of sound system and Projector, the circular said.
2. Only the students of class 12 from each school will be visiting the Zonal Career Conclave.
3. The timing of the event will be from 10 am to 5 pm. Keeping in mind the safety and security, students of morning shift, will visit the from 10 am to 1:30 pm, and 2nd shift school students will visit the event from 1:30 pm to 5 pm.
4. There will be an exhibition with display of career information, charts and posters on both the days. Each zone will be given a theme of career by EVGB for talks.
5. At least 4 Banners (including one backdrop for the stage) with proper information about the events must be displayed at prominent places. Information about the event be circulated on WhatsApp groups of the concerned classes by the class teacher and EVGCs.
6. Proper sitting arrangement, water dispensing and sanitisation facility will be ensured by the Heads of Schools of the venue as selected by Zonal DDE.
7. Photographs and video recording of the event has to be ensured. SMC members and parents may be invited to see the event.
8. Report about the career conclave Is to be submitted to EVG Bureau after the completion of the event.
“All the DDEs are hereby requested to organise the career conclave following the guidelines as above and ensure that it actually benefits the maximum number of students of the zone,” said the notice.

“Exposure to the World of Career is the need of the hour for students as they are often overwhelmed with the number of career options available and are confused about choosing the right career path for themselves. In the past, State Level Career Conclave was being organized for Class 12 students of Government schools which was a mega event for skills awareness, career guidance for courses and employability along with providing exposure about career pathways,” the official notice explained.
