Delhi school EWS registration 2024 process will conclude on May 15 on the official website, edudel.nic.in.
NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Education (DoE) in Delhi has opened the registration window for admission of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category students for the academic year 2024-25 in private schools across the national capital. Interested parents can apply for Delhi school EWS admission through the official website, edudel.nic.in.
As per the schedule, the Delhi school EWS registration process will conclude on May 15, 2024. In Delhi, private schools are mandated to reserve 25% of their available seats for students hailing from economically underprivileged backgrounds, disadvantaged communities, and those with special needs.
The allotment of seats for economically weaker sections is facilitated through online lottery system. The Delhi school EWS seat allotment result will be announced on May 20, 2024.
Delhi school EWS Admission 2024: Preschool, nursery classes
Age: EWS and DG categories: Children should be between 3 and 5 years of age
CWD or CWSN categories: Children should be aged between 3 to 7 years
Delhi school EWS Admission 2024: Pre-primary or KG classes
Age: EWS and DG categories: Children should be aged between 4 and 6 years.
CWS and CWSN categories: Children should be aged between 4 and 8 years.
Delhi school EWS Admission 2024: Primary or class 1
Age: EWS and DG categories: Children should be aged between 5 and 7 years.
CWS and CWSN categories: Children should be aged between 5 to 9 years.
Applicants seeking admission under the mentioned category are required to be permanent residents of Delhi and must have an annual family income not exceeding 2.5 lakh.
