According to a senior DU official the first cut-off list for undergraduate courses will be released by October 1, 2021. Earlier the list was expected between September 7 to September 10.
“By that time the results of the CBSE compartment examination, optional exams and improvement will in all likelihood be declared and the NEET, JEE exams would have also been over by then,” the official told the Press Trust of India. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is the entrance test for undergraduate medicine and allied sciences; the Joint Entrance Examination Main is a national-level exam for BTech or BE in engineering. NEET 2021 is scheduled for September 12 and the JEE Main 2021 fourth session will be held from August 26,27, 31 and September 1 and 2. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) compartment improvement exams are from August 16 to September 15.
"We are planning to start by October 1. With October 2 and 3 being holidays, we will start the admission process by October 4," said Pinki Sharma, dean, admissions . DU admission is based on best-four-scores. A candidate’s average of the best four scores must meet the minimum marks -- of “cut-off” -- a college sets for admission. The cut-offs drop in progressive list of cut-offs.
