NEW DELHI: As Delhi University's admissions against second cut-off begin tomorrow, candidates who wish to withdraw from the programme they have applied for under first cut-off can make the changes starting tomorrow. Delhi University(DU) released the second cut-off for admission to its various undergraduate programmes on Saturday.
Students who had applied for admission against first cut off to various Delhi university colleges can now withdraw their admission from the college they have applied for. As per the DU admission guidelines, candidates can apply to one programme and college for admission against a particular cut off. The candidates can opt for withdrawal from their dashboard starting tomorrow, however, admission once withdrawn will not be restored by the university.

The guidelines restrict students from choosing multiple courses or college in the same round. Candidates, however, can withdraw their application from the college applied under first list, and make a fresh application for a new course of their choice and college, provided they meet the admission criteria under second cut-off list requirement. The candidates should have scored minimum or above the cut-off of the college they are applying for under the second list.

The Delhi University admission against the second cut-off list will begin from October 11 and will be over by October 13. The withdrawal window will be available for the students on university's website. The DU colleges will approve the admissions to the students till October 14 (5 pm). Students can pay the admission fee till October 15 (5 pm).
As DU released the second cut-off on Saturday, October 9, few colleges refrained from announcing the second cut-off as the seats in many popular courses were filled under the first cut-off. Hindu College closed admission to many of its BA Hons courses. The admissions to BA Political Science (Honours), BA History (Honours), BA Hindi (Honours), BA programme, BA Philosophy (Honours), etc and all the science courses were already closed after the first Hindu College cut-off list 2021 while few seats in programmes like BA (Honours) Economics and BCom (Honours) were left for the students. Miranda House also closed admission to its BA(Hons) political science and did not release the second cut-off for the subject.
Ramjas College set 100% cut-off for BA Hons political science in the second list as well. After a perfect score of 100% in the first cut-off list, the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya has reduced the second cut-off 2021 for BSc Hons Computer Science to 98.5%. As per the released JMC 2nd cut-off list 2021, the college is offering admission to only three courses and for the rest of the programmes admissions are closed. In the honours programmes category, College of Vocational Studies is offering admissions for only BA (Hons) English to the candidates who have scored between 96.25 to 96.5%.
