NEW DELHI: The University of Delhi has deferred its decision to resume physical classes for science students from August 16 on Friday.
DU issued an official notification today informing that the instructions issued for conducting physical classes for science students of UG and PG programmes have been deferred.
"The instructions issued for conduct of classes for PG and UG Programmes in respect of Science Courses in University and its Colleges in physical mode with effect from 16.08.2021 has been deferred,” the revised notification said.

On Thursday, the university had issued an official notification announcing that it is going to resume physical classes, project and practical work for the students of science stream with proper safety measures after considering the dip in covid cases.
It had also notified that online teaching and learning activities will continue for all the other programmes.
DU also commenced registration for admission to UG courses on August 2. It started the registration for undergraduate courses with its admission portal going live on Monday. The portal went live at 8 pm. Nearly 70,000 seats under various courses are up for grabs. So far, it has received over 1 lakh applications.
