Feedback on CBSE question papers 2025 'vague, unclear'; board has 3 requests for schools

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed schools to send their observations and issues in CBSE Class 10, 12 question paper 2025 on the same day the exam is being conducted. It also observed that the errors in CBSE Board exam papers sent by the schools are “vague” and “unclear”.

Every year, schools are requested to send their observations regarding the question paper through the Online Exam Centre Management System (OECMS) launched for the CBSE Board exams . The board commenced the CBSE Class 10, 12 theory exams on February 15 and will conclude on April 4.

The CBSE Board noticed that the “schools usually send observations to various emails IDs not meant for the purpose”. While some schools have delayed sending their observations, others have sent vague and unclear observations. “For example- The question is not correct. But what is not correct in the question is not mentioned,” it added.

To streamline this process, the board has made three requests to schools. It has asked the schools to upload the observations on CBSE question paper on the OECMS portal, cbseit.in/cbse/web/oecms/prex.aspx, on the same day the exam is held. Principals of CBSE schools have been asked to send queries to email address: qpobservation@cbseshiksha.in.

“In case, the observation(s) received are not clear, not received on time, not in compliance with the instructions issued by the CBSE, or vague, no action will be taken by the Board,” it added.

Earlier today, the CBSE cautioned students and parents against misinformation and paper leak rumours . The board also warned of legal action against offenders and students who spread rumours regarding the board exam. Over 42 lakh students have registered for the CBSE Board exam 2025 this year.
