GATE 2021- Tips to prepare for the exam at home

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, is going to conduct GATE exam 2021 on February 6, 7, 13 and 14. Candidates are left with less than two months for IIT GATE 2021 preparation.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is better for all to stay at home and not come in contact with random people on a daily basis. Thus, for candidates preparing for GATE IIT Bombay without coaching, here are some tips to prepare for GATE 2021 at home:

• Know syllabus and exam pattern - For candidates preparing for GATE exam 2021, knowing the syllabus and exam pattern is like gathering the ingredients. This is the first and foremost step and gives candidates the direction to proceed with.

• Follow a time table - For candidates who have not prepared a schedule to study for GATE 2021 exam, its high time to get into a routine. For those who already have a schedule to follow, they are advised to enhance their preparation hours for GATE IIT Bombay.

• Practice GATE mock tests and previous year question papers - Practice makes a student perfect at the subject and this is what GATE 2021 candidates need to do at this crucial time. They need to analyze the level of preparation and then work upon the topics wherever they lack.

• Short notes - While preparing for GATE exam 2021 or any other exam, it is always advisable to prepare short notes of whatever deems important from exam point of view. This practice helps candidates revise and remember again through what was read earlier. For those who have not prepared any notes till now, it’s not too late yet. Those who have already prepared plenty of them, it’s better to go through them once in a while.

• Discuss with friends - IIT GATE 2021 candidates are advised to discuss the topics with friends who are also applying for this exam. It will help them understand the other dimension of such topics and strengthen their hold over such topics.
