Last year, the GATE exam was conducted in February in two shifts for 29 papers. Candidates will be allowed to appear in a maximum of two papers. However, they can choose predefined two paper combination for the second paper.
As per the GATE syllabus 2023, the question paper will carry questions for a total of 100 marks. Irrespective of the subject chosen by the candidates, the General Aptitude (GA) section carrying 15 marks will be common for all papers. The remaining 85 marks will test the subject knowledge.
Candidates must note that once the GATE 2023 registration starts, they’ll have to submit only one application form as multiple registrations will lead to rejection without any refund of fee.
Aspirants who secure at least the minimum GATE cut-off will be declared qualified. However, the participating universities will announce their own GATE admission cut-offs to grant seat.
