Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIP) University will start the registration process, fee payment and uploading of mandatory documents for the round 1 counselling tomorrow, August 19, 2026 at 4 pm on the official websites of IPU at ipu.admissions.nic.in or ipu.ac.in.

The application fee is Rs 2,500. During the same period of time, applicants can also fill out their choices/preferences which is compulsory for allotment of seats. The last date to do all these processes can be done by August 21, 2026 at 11:59 pm.
Applicants who have qualified National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) and seeking admissions in the MBBS programme are eligible to participate in the counselling process.
GGSIP University MBBS Counselling 2026: Participating colleges
The list of medical colleges available for the MBBS programme are as follows:
- Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi
- Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi
- North Delhi Municipal Corporation Medical College and Hindu Rao Hospital
- Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital
- Army College of Medical Sciences (ACMS)
- ESI, PGIMSR, Basaiarapur, Ring Road, New Delhi
IPU MBBS Counselling 2026: Instructions for filling choices
While filling out the choices, students should note the following points:
- Choice filling is mandatory for seat allotment. Applicants who do not submit their choices will not be considered for online seat allotment.
- After enrolling for online counselling, aspirants must select their preferred institute-course combinations in order of preference during the choice-filling period.
- Once the choice-filling window closes, the submitted preferences will be used for seat allotment.
- Applicants are advised to fill as many choices as possible to improve their chances of getting a seat. Previous admission rank cut-off data is available on the university website and the counselling portal.
- Aspirants can edit, modify, add or delete choices after round 1 seat allotment for subsequent counselling rounds.
- Applicants should save their choices and take a printout for future preference.
- Candidates and parents are advised to check the location, academic and infrastructure facilities, including hostel and transportation, of affiliated colleges/institutes before filling choices.
The official notice reads, “The seats of State Quota, candidates who have studied 10+2 (11th and 12th) classes in the recognized School/College in Delhi and passed the qualifying examination from any School/College located in Delhi only shall be eligible for 85% Delhi State Quota seats in MBBS Programme at North Delhi Municipal Corporation (Medical College) Hindu Rao Hospital and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital. It is advised to all the NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates to upload the 11th Class Marksheet in addition to 12th Class marksheet in a single pdf while applying for admission in programme MBBS.”
