ICSI Exam Dec 2020: Announcement on Opt-Out and carry forward of candidature to June 2021

ICSI Exam 2020- Candidates can use OPT-OUT facility in ICSI CS December 2020 exam. Last dat to apply for the same is January 15.
NEW DELHI: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has allowed students a one-time “Opt-Out” option from ICSI exam Dec 2020. Students who are unable to appear for the CS December 2020 exam due to Covid-19 effect can choose to opt-out and carry forward their candidature to CS June 2021 exams.
ICSI CS exam 2021 for the June session will commence on June 1, 2021.
If a student or their immediate relative gets infected with the Covid 19 virus between the period of November 20, 2020, and December 30, 2020, they can avail the opt-out facility by submitting the COVID 19 positive report as evidence.
To be eligible for carrying forward of candidature from December 2020 session to June 2021 session, students will have to fill an online “Opt-Out” form. The details of the online form will be displayed on the official ICSI website.
Students are required to submit the online form as a formal request. The last date to submit the request is January 15, 2021.
On receipt of the online form, the candidature of the student for CS December 2020 exam will be cancelled and carried forward to June 2021 session. The examination fee credit will also be carried forward to the June session.
Students who submit the online request without attaching their Covid 19 positive report will be rejected from availing the facility without any notice.
No changes will be entertained once the opt-out facility has been availed. This is a one-time facility being provided due to the Covid 19 impact in the country.
