IIIT Bangalore launches postgraduate certificate programme in cloud and DevOps

IIIT Bangalore: The eight-month online programme will cover AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including concepts tested in Azure exams.
NEW DELHI: The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT Bangalore has joined hands with upGrad to launch an executive postgraduate certificate program in Cloud and DevOps. The eight-month programme is set to commence its first cohort on June 30, 2024.
The programme is designed to provide comprehensive training on cloud platforms, with a focus on DevOps principles and advanced concepts like DevSecOps and SynOps. It will cover a wide range of topics, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including concepts tested in AWS and Azure exams.
As per the institute, candidates will learn DevOps skills, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (IaC), through over 50 live training sessions.
Candidates will also learn scalable microservices architectures, implementing robust monitoring, logging, and utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) tools for code analysis, security enhancement, and process automation.
During each module, candidates will learn to deploy web applications and engage in extensive hands-on training to prepare for certification exams such as AWS academy cloud foundations, azure fundamentals, and AZ-104, the institute said.

Commenting on the launch, the director of IIIT Bangalore, Debabrata Das, said: “DevOps serves as a distinct approach to enterprise software development, emphasizing the necessity of cooperation, automation, and communication between software developers and IT operations teams. IIIT-B with its expertise in cloud development and DevOps has developed this comprehensive programme to meet future demands, thereby enabling the nation to build skills and expertise in this very important technical area.”
