IIM Amritsar hosts 9th convocation ceremony; awards degrees to over 380 MBA students

IIM Amritsar awards degrees to students from the MBA flagship programme, MBA in business analytics (MBA-BA), and MSc in data science and management (MSDSM), a joint programme in collaboration with IIT Ropar, among others.
NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar hosted the 9th convocation ceremony and conferred degrees to over 380 MBA students at Festyn Palais, Amritsar. Students from ninth batch of MBA flagship programme, the third batches of MBA in business analytics (MBA-BA), MBA in human resources (MBA-HR), executive MBA (EMBA), including students from inaugural batch of the MSc in data science and management (MSDSM), a joint programme launched in collaboration with Indian Institue of Technology (IIT) Ropar were awarded degrees.
According to the IIM Amritsar official statement, the graduation ceremony was attended by Ranjit Rath the chairman and managing director of Oil India Limited, as the chief guest; Sanjay Gupta the chairman of the board of governors at IIM Amritsar; Rajeev Ahuja the director of IIT Ropar; Samir K Srivastava the director of IIM Amritsar, including others.
The director of IIM Amritsar Samir K Srivastava congratulated the batch of students in his address and also marked the graduation of the inaugural batch of the MSc in data science and management programme launched in partnership with IIT Ropar . The director of IIT Ropar also encouraged the students to contribute to the society,

IIM Amritsar 9th convocation event
IIM Amritsar director also highlighted the expanding national and international partnerships and institues placement performance, along with over 150 companies in final placements and 125+ summer internships , including 100+ new recruiters.
“He further commended students for securing opportunities across diverse sectors and noted increasing interest from international firms and emerging industries,” the official IIM Amritsar statement said.
“Highlighting scholastic excellence, Samir K Srivastava presented the director’s merit list, a prestigious recognition awarded to the top 10% of performers across all programs. Recognising academic excellence and holistic achievement, IIM Amritsar conferred gold medals during the convocation ceremony, honouring the institute’s highest achievers across programmes. The awards were presented by chief guest Ranjit Rath, the chairman and managing director of Oil India Limited,” the official IM Amritsar statement adds.
