IIT Kharagpur declares results based on mid semester exams

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur,or IIT Kharagpur, declared the Spring 2020 end-semester results on July 1.
“The evaluation of the results were based on the grades obtained in the mid-semester examinations, assignments, class tests and viva”, said Virendra Kumar Tewari, IIT Kharagpur director in a social media post.
The institute had to cancel the end semester examinations because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A committee was formed to evaluate the academic performance of the students. Close to 13,000 students had enrolled in various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes.
“I congratulate the student community and appreciate their cooperation," said Tewari in the post.
