IIT Kharagpur launches online program on post-COVID-19 innovation

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur will launch an online outreach program on innovation and entrepreneurship after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program will target young college students who are startup enthusiasts. Working professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators, thinkers and strategists will also benefit from the course.
Course platform
The series will be conducted from June 22 to 29, 2020 through NPTEL platform which will also be accessible on other platforms of the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India such as SWAYAM Prabha channels.
The course materials and videos will be there present on National Digital Library of India also.
The program which will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur's Rajendra Mishra School of Engineering Entrepreneurship (RMSoEE) and will be a 16-part lecture series.
Subject areas
The program will delve into subjects like data science, healthcare, education, agri-tech, energy, rural innovation, fintech, and supply chain interventions mainly.
Mrigank Sharad professor, RMSoEE will be coordinating the course.
The teachers teaching the course would include Partha Pratim Chakrabarti, professor who will speak on - 'Role of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Technology to fight the pandemic and its repercussions. Manoj Kumar Tewari, Director, NITIE Mumbai would throw light on 'The drastic transformation of Supply Chain Network in the post-COVID world, its opportunities and challenges, adaptability'. Kris Singh, Founder and CEO at SRII, California will speak on 'Innovating education and skills for digital economy'.
The course will also concentrate on precautions and strategies related to operations, execution, change in consumer behaviour, and short term financial management.
