IIT Mandi extends MTech (Research), PhD, dual degree programmes registration till April 15
Candidates applying for MTech (Research) of IIT Mandi SCEE should have BTech, BE, or MSc degree and a valid GATE Score.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi’s School of Computing and Electrical Engineering (SCEE) has extended the last date to apply for full-time or part-time MTech (by research), Ph,D and dual degree programmes till April 15. IIT Mandi will issue the list of shortlisted candidates in the last week of April. They will have to appear for the interview from May 10 to 12.
Eligible candidates can apply for the IIT Mandi SCEE MTech research, PhD and dual degree programmes by paying an application fee of Rs 200. However, SC, ST and PwD candidates will have to pay a Rs 100 application fee. Working professional seeking admission to the programmes will have to submit a no-objection certificate from their current employer at the time of interview.
Candidates applying for MTech (Research) programmes should have BTech, BE, or MSc and a valid GATE Score. In case a candidate gets CGPA equal or greater than 7.5 in the qualifying degree from the centrally-funded technical institutes (CFTIs) he will not have to appear for GATE for half-time teaching/research assistantship (HTRA) fellowship.

Eligibility criteria for PhD applicants
Students applying for PhD applicants are entitled to the scholarship, assistantship if they qualify for any one of the following criteria:
- Master’s degree in sciences, engineering and technology with a good academic record
- Bachelor’s degree holder in engineering, technology with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 on a 10.0-point scale.
Criteria for MTech (Research) plus PhD applicants
Candidates applying for this programme should have a BE, BTech, MSc or equivalent Degree with a valid GATE Score. GATE Score is waived off for candidates having BTech, BE degree from CFTI with minimum 8 CGPA.
