Try NowNEW DELHI: The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has begun the registration process for BE and BTech courses' admissions based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 rank. The board will prepare the state merit list using the JEE (Main) results to conduct counselling for engineering institutes across Jharkhand.

Eligible candidates can submit their JCECEB applications 2025 through the board’s official website at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. The last date to submit the JCECEB application form 2025 is June 9, 2025. The JCECEB 2025 application correction window will be open from June 10 to June 12, 2025. The state merit list will be published on June 16, 2025.
Candidates from the general, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Backwards Class-I (BC-I), and Backwards Class-II (BC-II) categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500. Candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories, as well as all female candidates, will have to pay Rs 250. Divyang (persons with disabilities) candidates are exempted from paying the registration fee.
JCECEB 2025 eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria for admission to JCECEB 2025 BTech courses through JEE Main rank are given below.
- The candidate should have passed the Class 12 examination with Physics and Mathematics, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship, as listed in Table 8.4.
- The candidate should also have secured at least 45 per cent marks in these subjects taken together (40 per cent for candidates belonging to reserved categories). Candidates who have passed the Diploma in Vocational (DVoc) stream in the same or a related sector are also eligible.
- Candidates should also be Indian citizens and local or permanent residents of Jharkhand, holding valid certificates issued by competent authorities.
JCECEB 2025 Admission: Tuition fee waiver scheme
As per the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), 5 per cent supernumerary seats are available for candidates in each branch. Candidates claiming reservation under this category should produce an income certificate showing an annual income of up to Rs 8 lakh, issued by the Circle Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), or Deputy Commissioner of Jharkhand State.
“The Board will prepare the State Merit List on the basis of JEE(Main) – 2025 Result & claim made by the candidates in the online Application form,” the official notice said.
