Changes in NTA JEE Main 2021
Increase in number of sessions
The NTA has increased the total number of attempts for candidates to improve their scores in the examination if they fail to give their best in the first attempt without wasting their whole academic year. The JEE Main 2021 will be held in February 2021 followed by the next three sessions in March, April, and May. Students can attempt in either or all four JEE Main 2021 attempts.
JEE Main 2021 application form
Since the NTA JEE Main 2021 exam will be held in multiple sessions, candidates have an option to apply for one session (February) or more than one session (March /April /May 2021) together and pay exam fee accordingly. If a candidate is applying just for the February session, he / she has to pay JEE Main application fee only for that session and will have the opportunity to apply again for the March/ April / May Session, when the application window will be reopened. Also, incase a candidate does not want to appear in the Session for which fee has already been paid, it will be refunded by the NTA.
JEE Main 2021 exam pattern
Changes in the exam pattern of JEE Main 2021 are also introduced. According to the new JEE Main 2021 exam pattern, the paper 1 i.e for B.Tech will have a total of 90 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Each subject will have two sections.
