NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2024 evening shift was held at 3 pm to 6.30 pm today. Students coming out of the exam centre said the difficulty-level of the exam was easy to moderate.

The students c;aimed that the physics and maths sections were lengthy and some questions in the chemistry sections were from the parts that were removed from the JEE Main 2024 syllabus.

As per the Careers360 analysis of the JEE Main 2024 January 26 evening shift paper, it was relatively easy in comparison to the morning shift.

According to the Careers360 analysis, the topics asked and difficulty level of subjects are as follows:

The sections two had 20 multiple choice questions (MCQs) and 10 numerical value questions (NVQs) in each section. Candidates will be awarded four marks each for the correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong response.

JEE Main chemistry section analysis

Chemistry subject questions were relatively easier than the maths section. Inorganic and organic chemistry weightage was relatively more than physical chemistry in JEE Main 2024 chemistry section. Few assertion and reason-type questions were asked and some questions were directly from the NCERT books.

JEE Main maths section analysis

Maths subject questions were relatively harder than the other two subjects. The overall difficulty level of physics was moderate to tough Lots of questions were easily solvable by using the correct formulae. The section was also comparatively lengthier and more calculative than the other two parts.

The physics part was relatively easier than maths sections. The overall difficulty level of physics was from easy to moderate. Lots of questions could have been calculated directly using the formulae.
