- National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the JEE Main result 2021 session 4 today. Candidates will be able to check the JEE Main session 4 result 2021 on the website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. To deal with the difference of difficulty level in various JEE Main 2021 sessions, the normalisation process is used by the authorities.

The normalised JEE Main 2021 scores released by NTA indicate the percentage of candidates whose scores are equal or below the scores of the candidate who scored the highest in that particular session.
JEE Main Session 4 Result 2021- Normalisation Process
All the sessions of the JEE Main 2021 are conducted in different days and shifts. That’s why the possibility of difference in difficulty level can take place. To normalise the difference and maintain equivalence among the participants, NTA uses the method of percentile equivalence.The percentile scores are scores based on the performance of those who appeared for the examination.
The marks scored are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees known as the NTA score.
JEE Main Result 2021- Percentile Calculation
Formulas used for normalisation of scores is (100 x number of candidates appeared in the session with raw score equal to or less than the candidate) / total number of candidates appeared in that session. Authorities use this formula to calculate the percentile for all the subjects separately using the above mentioned normalisation formula.

About JEE Main 2021
JEE Main 2021 session 4 was conducted by the NTA on August 26, 31, and September 1,2, 2021. Top 2,5000 candidates qualifying the JEE Main 2021 exam will be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2021 being conducted on October 3, 2021.
