The JEE Main 2025 January 28 shift 1 was conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm. The JEE Main 2025 admit card for January 29, 30 exam can be download through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
As per students’ reactions and coaching expert analysis, the first shift’s JEE Main question paper 2025 was tough in comparison to both the previous day's paper and last year's paper. Students rated mathematics lengthy, physics conceptually challenging, and chemistry straightforward but heavily reliant on the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

While the first three days of JEE Main exam this year have been moderate in difficulty level, the JEE Main 2025 January 28 shift 1 was difficult and challenging.
JEE Main 2025 pattern, marking scheme
The JEE Main 2025 exam is being held three hours. As per the JEE Main exam pattern 2025, the question paper comprises two sections – section A and section B. Each section contains multiple choice questions on physics, chemistry, and mathematics. While section A includes 20 questions each, section B has five questions each. Candidates are required to attempt a total of 75 questions carrying overall 300 marks.
According to the JEE Main 2025 marking scheme, candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer. One mark will be deducted for each wrong response.
