Jharkhand Board will conduct Class 8 exams for Hindi, English, other language, math, science, and social science in 2 shifts on April 13.
NEW DELHI : The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced that Class 8 exams 2023 will be conducted on April 13 for all papers. According to an official notification, JAC 8th exams will be conducted in two shifts – first shift from 9:45am to 1pm and second shift from 2pm to 5:15pm. While Hindi, English and other language papers will be held in the first shift, mathematics, science and social science papers will be conducted in the second shift.
Jharkhand board informed that exams will be conducted through OMR sheets. Students will get a 15 minutes time before commencement of exam to read the question paper.

“It is hereby informed to the principals, students, and concerned office bearers of all categories of schools in the state of Jharkhand that as per the instructions of School Education and Literacy Department, Jharkhand, Ranchi, Class VIII examination will be conducted through OMR seat. In the light of the above, the examination will be conducted at the centers decided by the Council as per the following schedule,” said JAC in an official notification.

The board informed multiple choice questions of 50 marks will be asked from each subject and an internal assessment of 100 marks will be done at the school level.

The board asked school heads to download Jharkhand board 8th admit card 2023 from the official website – jac.jharkhand.gov.in and distribute Class 8 hall tickets amongst students.
“The entry of internal assessment marks will be done online through the Council's website. The date for online maintenance of internal assessment marks will be published later,” JAC added.
