Maharashtra Agriculture CAP 2026 round 1 seat allotment result out; 10,871 students get seats

Maharashtra Agriculture CAP 2026: 18,993 candidates filled choices. Round 1 reporting begins.
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has announced the round 1 Centralised Admission Process (CAP) allotment list for admission to undergraduate agriculture courses for the 2026-27 academic year. A total of 10,871 students have been allotted seats across nine professional degree programmes offered by the four state agricultural universities and their affiliated colleges.
The MHT agriculture CAP process received 23,803 registrations, while 18,993 candidates completed the choice-filling process within the stipulated deadline. Only candidates who submitted their preferences were considered for the first CAP allotment.
Among the 18,993 students who submitted their college preferences, 3,147 were allotted their first-choice college. Their seats have been marked as Auto Freeze, making it mandatory for them to accept the allotted seat. Students who reject these seats will not be allowed to participate in the second and third CAP rounds and can take part only in the subsequent CAP or institutional rounds.
MHT Agri Round 1 Seat Allotment 2026: Reporting dates
Students allotted a college in round 1 of Maharashtra Agriculture CAP counselling 2026 must report to the respective college between August 17 and 19, 2026. They are required to complete document verification and other admission formalities at the allotted institute.
After the college verifies the documents, candidates must log in to their account and select either the Freeze or Float option by paying the Rs 1,000 admission acceptance fee.
Candidates who choose Freeze will confirm the allotted seat, while those opting for Float can participate in the subsequent CAP process as per the applicable rules.
The seat matrix for the second CAP round will be published on August 20, 2026.
MHT Agriculture CAP Seat Allotment 2026: University-wise seat allotment
Of the 10,871 seats allotted in the round 1 CAP, 4,700 seats were allotted under Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri and its affiliated colleges. Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, accounted for 2,968 seats, while Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, received 2,469 seats. Dr Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli, accounted for 734 seats.

Maharashtra Agriculture CAP Round 1 Seats Allotment: Course-wise
BSc (Hons) Agriculture received the highest number of seat allotments in Maharashtra Agriculture CAP Round 1, with 7,878 seats. BTech Food Technology followed with 862 seats, while BSc (Hons) Horticulture accounted for 559 seats. The course-wise seat allotment is given below:

The nine four-year professional degree programmes are offered through 201 agriculture colleges under four agricultural universities in Maharashtra. The total first-year admission capacity across these colleges is 17,976 seats.
