Maharashtra NEET PG counselling 2024 registration from March 1 after lowering of cut-off

Download nowNEW DELHI: State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has decided to open registration for the National Eligibility Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling 2024 for newly eligible candidates after lowering of NEET PG cut-off 2024. According to the schedule, the registration for Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 counselling will start on March 1, 2025.
“...the schedule for the online stray vacancy round was postponed due to reduced qualifying criteria for admission to the post graduate medical course by NBE, New Delhi. In view of the lower down of qualifying criteria, the competent authority has now decided to start the registration process to allow the newly qualified candidates to participate in the ongoing process,” said the CET cell in an official notice.
The authorities earlier extended the last date to join the seats allotted to the candidates in the NEET PG stray vacancy round till February 28, 5 pm.

Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 counselling: Instructions for candidates
The CET cell issued the following instructions for aspirants:
- Candidates should read the NEET PG 2024 information brochure published on the website carefully and ascertain their eligibility for each round well in advance.
- Candidates have free exit only in CAP-1 and there is no facility of free exit in the subsequent rounds.
- Candidates should ensure they have all the necessary documents for category claim as per the information brochure in the prescribed format. Especially for EWS candidates, the format as per Annexure A is only valid and Annexure I will not be considered for admission through state quota.
- Candidate should ascertain the fee for the unaided private college well in advance through the concerned college website or Fees Regulating Authority (FRA) website before filling up the choices.
- Candidates claiming PWD quota should have certificate issued by any one of the authorized boards in online format. Certificate from any other authority will not be considered.
