MHT CET CAP 2026: CET Cell has made the JEE Main scorecard via DigiLocker mandatory for engineering admissions through CAP counselling, while expanding eligibility for BBA, BCA, BMS, and BBM courses

MHT CET CAP 2026: According to the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell guidelines, candidates applying for MHT CET CAP 2026 BE, BTech courses under the ‘All India Candidature’ category using JEE Main 2026 scores must have their scorecard in DigiLocker. Notably, the CET Cell has also revised eligibility criteria for several management and business administration courses.
CET Cell's notice said that as per the National Testing Agency (NTA) guidelines, candidates applying using JEE Main 2026 scores must have their scorecard in their DigiLocker account.
As per the MHT CET 2026 CAP engineering and management schedule, candidates can apply for counselling on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org, by July 12

Apply for BE, BTech via JEE Main
The State Cell has given a two-step process to link JEE Main scores 2026 as follows:
CAP eligibility for BBA, BCA, BMS, BBM admission
The State Cell has expanded the eligibility criteria for BBA, BCA, BMS and BBM courses for admission via MHT CET CAP counselling.
The MHT CET 2026 (PCM or PCB group) exam has also been made eligible for the admission process of these courses. Candidates who appeared for MHT CET 2026 and have valid scores will be eligible to apply for admission to these professional courses.
The CET Cell clarified that the existing reservation policies for defence personnel and orphan candidates will remain unchanged. Admissions under the defence quota will be carried out in accordance with the Maharashtra government's regulations and the Ministry of Defence notification dated May 21, 2018.
Meanwhile, admissions under the orphan category will be based on the resolutions issued by the Women and Child Development Department.
A separate admission portal has been launched for candidates applying under the NRI, OCI, PIO, CIWGC, and Foreign National categories. The CET Cell said that admissions for Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates will be carried out in accordance with the Supreme Court's directions
Candidates applying for admission through NRI, OCI, PIO, CIWGC, or Foreign National (FN) quotas should visit the website fn.mahacet.org.
Furthermore, the list of physical scrutiny centres, eligibility criteria, and admission rules have been made available on the CAP portal for each course. To support applicants throughout the admission process, the State Cell has set up student CET facilitation centres across 36 districts in Maharashtra.
A messaging and ticketing system has been made available within the candidate's login on the CAP portal to resolve admission-related queries.
