MP Class 12 board exam 2026 begins tomorrow for 7 lakh; question pattern, marks distribution explained

Enrol NowThe Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) will begin the MP Class 12 board exam 2026 from tomorrow, with approximately 7 lakh students appearing across science, commerce, and humanities streams.
According to the MP Class 12 board exam time table 2026 , the state board will conduct the annual theory exam from February 10 to March 7. Students will have to carry their school ID card and MP Class 12 admit card, downloaded from the official website, mpbse.nic.in, to the exam hall.
All students should be present at the exam centre by 8 am. No student will be allowed entry after 15 minutes of the start of the exam. MP Class 12 answer sheets will be distributed 10 minutes before the start of the exam, and the question papers five minutes before the exam.
MP Class 12 theory, practical exam pattern
All Class 12 theory papers will carry 80 marks, with the question paper following uniform structure across subjects. The remaining paper consists of short, long, and very long answer questions.
Each paper will include 20 objective-type questions, carrying one mark each. These questions are compulsory as well.
For science subjects such as physics, chemistry, and biology, 20 marks are earmarked for practical exams. For commerce and humanities streams, the additional marks are assessed through internal evaluation, conducted at the school level. Mathematics is the only subject with a total of 100 marks in theory paper alone.
