NBEMS post MBBS diploma exam from December 15-17 for 8 specialties; paper-wise syllabus

NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations of Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has notified the question-paper wise distribution of syllabus for NBEMS post MBBS

two-year diploma courses. The NBE will conduct the first final theory exam for NBEMS post MBBS two-year diploma courses for 8 specialties from December 15 to 17.

The admit card for the final exams will be made available for download on the official website, natboard.edu.in, on December 8. The NBEMS diploma final is a two-stage examination consisting of theory and practical examination.

Candidates will have to qualify the theory exam to appear in the practical exams. Students will get three attempts to clear the practical examination.

The NBEMS diploma theory examination will comprise three papers carrying a maximum marks of 100 each. There are 10 short notes of 10 marks each, in each of the papers. The examination will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours.

As per the passing criteria, candidates should score at least 150 out of 300 in the aggregate of 3 papers to qualify the theory examination.

“Grace marks of up to 2% of maximum marks i.e. 6/300 shall be given only to the candidates falling in the zone of consideration i.e. securing between 144-149 marks out of 300,” the board informed.

The NBEMS post MBBS two-year diploma exam will be conducted for the following 8 specialities.

  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)
  • Paediatrics
  • Radiodiagnosis
