NTA has advised students to bring transparent water bottles, wear light clothes, and wear slippers or low heels while appearing for the NEET 2026 exam.
For the NEET UG 2026 exam, a total of 22,79,743 have registered, of whom 13,32,928 are female, and 9,46,815 are male students.

Candidates appearing for the national-level medical entrance test must carry their NEET hall tickets 2026 along with ID proof such as Aadhaar, driving license, or PAN card, at the exam centre for verification purposes. NTA NEET admit card 2026 can be downloaded on the official websites, neet.nta.nic.in, using their login details.
NEET OMR Sheet Filling 2026: Dos, Don’ts
As per the NTA NEET guidelines 2026 , instructions for filling out your OMR sheet for the NEET UG 2026 exam are given below.
- Pen Type : Use only the black ballpoint pen provided at the exam centre.
- Filling Technique : Fill the circle completely and darkly.
- One Option : Mark only one option for each question.
- Verification : Match the question number carefully before marking.
- Sheet : Keep your OMR sheet clean, neat, and damage-free.
Things to avoid while filling the NEET OMR sheet 2026 are listed below.
- No Symbols : Do not use tick marks or crosses on the sheet
- No Partial Filling : Avoid half-filled circles.
- No Multiple Answers : Do not mark more than one bubble per question number
- No Overwriting : Avoid overwriting, smudging, or using whiteout.
Once the exam is over, candidates should not leave the room or hall without handing over their OMR Sheets to the invigilator on duty.
The result of those candidates who write on the test booklet or OMR sheet of other candidates, or allow others to write on their test booklet or OMR sheet, will be cancelled, NTA said in the official NEET 2026 brochure.
NTA will display the scanned image of the NEET OMR answer sheet PDFs 2026 and recorded responses by the machine of all candidates on the official website. The scanned images of OMR answer sheets shall be accessible after a few days of the NEET exam 2026.
NEET Exam Pattern 2026
As per the NEET UG exam pattern 2026, the paper will entail 180 questions comprising 720 marks. These 180 questions will be divided into three sections, 45 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany. For every correct answer, four marks will be given, and one mark will be given for each wrong answer.
