NEW DELHI: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has commenced the process of NEET PG 2021 registration at nbe.edu.in from February 23. Many aspirants were relieved with the release of NEET PG 2021 exam application form. However, what came as a shock to students was an unexpected change in the exam pattern of NEET PG 2021. The authorities have reduced the number of questions asked in the NEET exam. Earlier, 300 questions divided under three sections were asked in the exam. However, for the 2021 session there will be only 200 objective questions in the NEET PG question paper.

Change NEET PG exam pattern 2021
As per the information brochure released at NBE official website, the NEET PG 2021 syllabus distribution has not been released yet, which is also creating chaos and confusion among aspirants. The number of questions have been reduced to 200 from 300. Till last year, the NEET PG exam was divided under three sections - A, B, and C with 50, 100, and 150 questions in each, respectively. However, there are no such sections in NEET PG 2021 exam. There are chances that NEET PG entrance test will be lengthy in comparison to previous year exam papers.
As per section 5.3 in the NBE NEET PG brochure, “The examination shall be a multiple choice question delivered using computers network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed. The exam comprises 200 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Time allotted is 3 hrs 30 min.”

Gaurav Tyagi, Founder of Career Xpert said that “There are lots of chances that more clinical questions will be asked, paper will be lengthy but this is the opportunity for the aspirants who have command on the clinical part,” said Tyagi.
“It can be presumed that questions based on videos, gifs will be more and one liner questions from first and second prop i.e. Anatomy and Non-Clinical branches can be there. Students should review the previous year questions from these sections, this can help them to score good marks,” he added.
Providing a tip to prepare for the NEET PG exam, Gaurav said, “Students should not panic and stay focused. Students should focus on the clinical part and give their best.”
Impact on NEET PG 2021 cutoff
“There are chances that this time cut-off will be average and this can somewhere affect the counseling process.” said Tyagi on expected NEET PG cutoff.
Changes in NEET PG exam pattern leave students confused and worried
Sudden major changes in the NEET PG 2021 by the NBE , when the entrance exam is round the corner has left students in a state of panic. Many are expecting a higher difficulty level in NEET PG exam owing to the reduced number of questions. Students are confused whether the preparation strategy of NEET PG 2021 should be changed.

NEET PG exam 2021
The process of filling NEET PG 2021 exam application form commenced on February 23, 3:00 PM onwards. The last date to fill the NEET PG form is March 15, 2021. The NEET PG exam date 2021 is April 18. Through NEET PG exam, admission to 12,690 Master of Surgery (MS), 24,306 Doctor of Medicine (MD), and 922 PG Diploma seats in 6,102 institutes across the country will be granted.
