MCC NEET 2026 LIVE
As per the revised MCC schedule, seat allotment processing for round 1 will take place on August 18, followed by publication of the provisional allotment result on August 19. Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 will have to complete the required admission formalities and reporting between August 20 and August 25, 2026.
The MCC's NEET UG 2026 counselling provides freeze and float options for candidates after seat allotment. A freeze candidate accepts the allotted seat and does not seek upgradation, while a float candidate indicates willingness to participate in the next round for an upgraded seat.
Candidates who are allotted a seat in the NEET UG counselling 2026 must complete the admission process within the stipulated timeline. Below is the process after the seat allotment result.
1. Check your NEET UG allotment result 2026
Candidates should first check the NEET round 1 seat allotment result on the MCC website and download the allotment letter. The allotted institute and course should be checked carefully before proceeding with admission.
2. Decide whether to freeze or upgrade
If a candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat and does not want an upgrade, they can proceed as a 'freeze' candidate and report physically to the allotted college.
Those who want to participate in round 2 of NEET UG counselling 2026 for a better choice can express their willingness for upgradation online. Such candidates are treated as float candidates and do not have to physically report to the round 1 college at that stage.
3. Upload documents online
All candidates who received an allotment letter, whether freeze or float, must upload scanned copies of their required documents on the MCC portal.
4. Report to the allotted college
Candidates who accept their round 1 seat and do not want an upgrade must physically report to the allotted medical or dental college with their original documents.
MCC has clarified that physical reporting is mandatory to confirm the allotted seat. No other person can report on behalf of the candidate for admission.
5. Carry original documents
Candidates must carry the original documents along with attested photocopies at the time of reporting.
Candidates without the required original certificates will not be allowed to be admitted to the allotted medical or dental college.

6. Check college fees and other conditions
Before joining, candidates are advised to check the fee structure, stipend, course duration, bond requirements and any service conditions applicable to the allotted college. MCC advises candidates to verify these details through the college or institute because such conditions can vary between institutions and states.
7. Join within the given deadline
Candidates allotted a seat must join the allotted college within the stipulated time mentioned in the counselling schedule. MCC advises candidates not to wait until the last day because colleges may require additional time to complete admission formalities. The joining deadline cannot be extended by MCC.
