NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Design has announced the NID DAT Prelims result for BDes admission cycle 2021-22 on June 19 in online mode. Candidates can submit their request for rechecking the DAT Prelims answer booklet at admissions.nid.edu. Based on the prelims result, students will be shortlisted for the DAT Mains exam. The tie-breaking policy will be applied in case two candidates secure the same rank.

According to the official notification dated June 4, the NID DAT Mains exam for BDes admission cycle 2021-22 will be held in online mode due to COVID 19 pandemic. Candidates are required to upload the theme poster and portfolio in PDF format. The window to upload the same is available at the official website - admissions.nid.edu till June 28.
“Due to the COVID 19 pandemic situation prevailing in the country and the uncertainties arising thereof, the DAT Mains for the admission cycle 2021- 2022 will be held in online mode,” states the official notice.
How will I make the theme poster?
The theme poster of a given topic can be made manually in any media. The details of the theme poster will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates separately on their registered email id. The theme poster and portfolio must be uploaded in PDF file with a size not exceeding 10 MB. Candidates are advised to add their best work in the portfolio.

The seat allotment process for the BDes admission will be done through counselling sessions. It is necessary for candidates to obtain the minimum qualifying mark to secure admission at NID campuses.
Expected NID DAT cut-off 2021
The institute is yet to announce the NID DAT cut-off 2021. However, the cut-off for NID DAT 2021 is expected to remain along the same lines as the previous year's.
