NIEPA celebrates Foundation Day 2025 with guest lecture, felicitation and awards

NIEPA 19th anniversary celebration saw a lecture from Ram Madhav on ‘Preparing India for the Emerging New World’.
The National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) celebrated its 19th Foundation Day today. Ram Madhav, political thinker and author, attended the event as the chief guest. He delivered a lecture on the topic “Preparing India for the Emerging New World”.
During the Foundation Day lecture, Madhav urged the gathered students to pursue educational transformation, rising above challenges with innovation and dignity for all. He expressed the desire to see India lead the world with “original ideas” and “compassionate action”.
“Today, we often hear the phrase 'new world order' in public discourse. What does it truly mean? To understand where we are heading, and to prepare our country for that journey, is, in my view, a patriotic duty. The future is no longer distant, but already upon us,” Madhav added.

NIEPA Foundation Day 2025 speech
At the 19th anniversary of NIEPA, vice chancellor Shashikala Wanjari highlighted the institute’s role in aligning Indian educational institutions with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. “At NIEPA, our goal is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need for personal and professional advancement. This approach is designed to prepare students to be catalysts for social and economic change,” Wanjari said.
The NIEPA 19th anniversary programme included a Felicitation and Awards ceremony for NIEPA employees and scholars, recognising their “invaluable” contributions. The event kicked off with a welcome address by Mona Khare, dean, followed by the Chairman’s Address by Mahesh Chandra Pant, chancellor. Surya Narayan Mishra, registrar, concluded the ceremony with a vote of thanks.
NIEPA conducts professional programmes like the ‘Professional Development Programme on NEP 2020 and Education 4.0 (integration of generative AI, interactive e-content and advanced technologies in online courses)’. The institute also conducts national-level seminars and workshops on educational administration and governance.
