NLSIU Bengaluru to conduct NLSAT 2022 for 3-year LLB programme; All you need to know

NEW DELHI: The National Law School of India University, Bengaluru will offer 3-year LLB programmes from the academic year 2022-23. The university has announced that it will conduct a new entrance exam, National Law School Admissions Test (NLSAT) for admitting candidates to the 3-year LLB programme . The NLSAT 2022 will be conducted on April 24, 2022. The application form will be released in the first week of January 2022.

NLSAT 2022 eligibility

Educational qualification - Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible.

Minimum qualifying marks - General category candidates need to secure at least 45% marks. SC and ST candidates are required to secure at least 40% marks.

NLSAT application form 2022

The application form for NLSAT 2022 will be available online - nls.ac.in, in the first week of January. The last date to apply for March 26, 2021. The application fee is Rs 2,000. SC, ST, EwS, and PwD candidates are required to pay Rs. 1,500 as the application fee.

Selection process

NLSAT 2022 will be a three-stage national-level examination process. The first and second stages (Part A and Part B) will be held in test centres across the country. The final round will be an interview round.

The Part A of the selection process will be of qualifying nature while Part B and the interview will be considered for preparing for the final merit list.

Interview round

Candidates in the ratio of 1:2.5 per seat will be invited for an interview round. The interview will be of 10 marks only. Candidates will be assessed based on their articulation skills, original thinking, reasoning ability, passion for the law and public service.
