PEC Chandigarh BDes Admissions 2026: Applications open; register by June 25

Admission to the Bachelor of Design programme will be based on UCEED, NID DAT, and JEE Main Paper 2A ranks
Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh has opened applications for admission to its Bachelor of Design (BDes) programme for the academic session 2026-27. Interested and eligible candidates can fill the PEC BDes application form from the official website at pec.ac.in by June 25, at 5 pm.
To complete the PEC Chandigarh BDes application form, candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 5,000 online. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the PEC Chandigarh BDes application fee is Rs 2,500.
Admission to the PEC Chandigarh BDes course will be based on ranks obtained in the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design ( UCEED ), National Institute of Design Design Aptitude Test ( NID DAT ), and JEE Main Paper 2A .
Candidates who appear in more than one of these national-level design entrance exams can submit their best rank to prepare the merit list.

The BDes programme at PEC Chandigarh has a total intake of 36 seats, including 1 seat reserved for Kashmiri Migrant candidates.
PEC BDes Admissions 2026: Eligibility criteria
Candidates who have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination in the 10+2 pattern from a recognised board with at least 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC and ST candidates) are eligible to apply for the PEC Chandigarh BDes admission 2026.
Students appearing for the Class 12 board examinations in 2024, 2025, or 2026 are also eligible to apply.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for the PEC Chandigarh BDes admission 2026:
- Visit the official admission website, pec.ac.in.
- Open the “BDes Admission” link.
- Fill in the BDes application form and upload the necessary documents.
- Pay the PEC BDes registration fee and submit the completed application form.
- Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
The seat allotment list for each admission round will be published on the institute website, pec.ac.in/admissions/bdesign and on the department notice boards. If seats remain vacant, additional counselling rounds may be conducted.
PEC Chandigarh BDes course
The PEC Chandigarh offers a four-year full-time BDes programme through its Production and Industrial Engineering Department (P&IE). The course focuses on design thinking, creativity, innovation, use of technology, and sustainable design practices.
According to the institute, the BDes programme includes industry and academic interaction, internships, project-based learning, hands-on industry experience, and guidance from experienced faculty members. The course combines creativity and technology and focuses on innovation and sustainable design practices.
