PM Internship Scheme 2024: Registration deadline extended till November 15; eligibility criteria

NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has extended the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2024 registration deadline to November 15. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for PM Internship 2024 scheme by visiting the official website at pminternship.mca.gov.in.
The duration of the PM Internship 2024 is 12 months. Under the internship scheme, the company will provide a monthly payment of Rs 500, which will be reported on the portal. The government will release Rs 4,500, which will be transferred to candidates via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). There is no registration fee.
PM Internship Scheme 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can have a look at the eligibility criteria for PM Internship 2024 scheme below.
- Candidates are required to have passed Class 10, 12, have certificate from ITI, diploma from a polytechnic institute, or have BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, BPharma degree.
- Candidates between the ages of 21 to 24 years (as on the last date for submission of application), belonging to Indian nationality, who are not in full-time employment and not engaged in full-time education.
Who are not eligible?

Graduates from institutions such as IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, IISERs, NIDs, and IIITs.

Hold qualifications like CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, or any Master's or higher degree.

Currently participating in any skill, apprenticeship, internship, or student training programme under Central or State Government schemes.

Have previously completed apprenticeship or training under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) or National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).

If any family member’s income exceeds Rs 8 lakh for the financial year 2023-24.

If any family member is a permanent or regular government employee.

The PM Internship Scheme involves a total of 500 companies offering opportunities across various sectors. Internships are available in fields such as IT, software development, banking, financial services, oil, gas, energy, FMCG, telecom, retail, automotive, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, aviation, defense, and many others.
