Presidency University Bengaluru hosts ‘experiential week’ with 300 projects by BDes, BSc multimedia students

The school of design at Presidency University, Bengaluru, recently concluded its “vibrant and successful” experiential week, bringing together over 250 students from Bachelor of Design and BSc multimedia programmes. The week-long event featured more than 300 student projects showcasing artworks, sketches, products, prototypes, systems, and design created by “first-year beginners to fourth-year professionals”.
The exhibition provided a platform for students to present their work and receive feedback from teachers, experts, parents and visitors.
Beyond the exhibition, the ‘experiential week’ consisted of insightful hands-on workshops and talks to foster “a culture of continuous learning and creative exchange”. The event culminated with a seminar from Carlos and Sugat Das from IED Milan. It was followed by a fashion showcase featuring collections of eight aspiring designers from Presidency University’s school of design.

Presidency University: School of Design
Established in 2019 on Presidency University’s 100-acre Bangalore campus, the school of design has quickly gained recognition for its creative curriculum and practical training approach.
The Bachelor of Design programme is a four-year course with five specialisations - product, fashion, space, communication and game design. The three-year BSc multimedia programme was launched in 2021.
The strong demand for admissions indicates that creative career options are gaining momentum positioning design courses as an area of growing interest for aspiring professionals, the official statement said.
