PM Modi today launched Indian Sign Language Dictionary, Talking Books, School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of CBSE, NISHTHA teachers’ training programme.
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched multiple key initiatives including Indian Sign Language Dictionary, Vidyanjali portal, talking books and audio books. He was addressing the inaugural conclave of Shikshak Parv today.
Congratulating teachers who received the National Teachers Award, Prime Minister said, “The contribution you all have made for the future of the students in the country in these difficult times is incomparable, commendable.”
Vidyanjali portal is for facilitating education volunteers, donors and CSR contributors for school development. It is the platform for the country's resolve to 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas' with 'Sabka Prayas'.
Speaking about the National Digital Educational Architecture, PM Modi said that the N-DEAR is going to play a big role by eliminating inequality in education. “Just as the UPI interface has revolutionized the banking sector, N-DEAR will act as a super connect between all academic activities,” he added.

“You all are aware that for the progress of any country, education should not only be inclusive but should also be equitable. That is why, today the country is making technology like Talking Books and Audio Books a part of education,” he said.
Talking about the Nishtha training programs, PM Modi said that teachers also have to learn about new systems and techniques in the rapidly changing era and the country is preparing its teachers for these changes through thess training programs.
The theme of Shikshak Parv-2021 is “Quality and Sustainable Schools: Learnings from Schools in India”.
Prime Minister also launched Indian Sign Language Dictionary (audio and text embedded sign language video for the hearing impaired, in conformity with Universal Design of Learning), Talking Books (audio books for the visually impaired), School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of CBSE, NISHTHA teachers' training programme for NIPUN Bharat and Vidyanjali portal (for facilitating education volunteers/ donors/ CSR contributors for school development).
