PUMDET Counselling 2024: Upgradation rule
As per the official notice, if the subject of the first choice is allotted, the candidate must take admission, and any subsequent choices will be automatically cancelled. These candidates must opt for NO upgradation, complete all admission formalities and collect the signed physical reporting receipt.
If the subject of the second choice is allotted first and the candidate receives provisional admission, they can opt for YES upgradation to keep the opportunity for their first choice open. Alternatively, they can choose NO upgrade and complete the admission procedures. Opting for NO upgrade means the candidate will not be considered for any future seat allotment rounds.
If an upgrade takes place, a new admission letter will be issued, replacing the previous one. If a reserved category candidate's allotment in round 1 is cancelled during document verification, they will be considered under the general category in subsequent rounds, if applicable.
