The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has clarified that any delay in the declaration of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, re-NEET 2026 results will not affect the state’s engineering admission process. It comes after few media reports that claimed engineering and architecture admissions in Maharashtra could face disruptions due to the NEET re-examination schedule. In an official notice issued on May 22, the CET Cell urged students and parents not to panic or be confused regarding admission process for engineering courses in the state.

CET cell clarified that NEET scores are used only for admissions to a certain engineering-related programmes and not for mainstream engineering admissions that are conducted through MHT CET.

  • Biotechnology

The CET Cell further clarified that these courses fall under the 15 per cent All India quota (AIQ) and are offered only in 17 government-aided institutions across Maharashtra.
