The students' group has demanded an independent judicial probe into the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and CBSE's OSM evaluation controversies.
The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) has demanded the resignation of the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the scrapping of the National Testing Agency (NTA) over the NEET UG 2026 paper leak and the OSM evaluation controversy in the CBSE exams.
The
students’ group
has also placed its demand to conduct an independent judicial probe in National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (
NEET
) and
Central Board of Secondary Education
(CBSE) controversy.
“The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been perceived as a National Torturing Agency by crores of students across the nation today as they record 89 paper leaks and 48 re-examinations in the last 10 years,” SFI said in an official statement.

SFI flags CUET, UGC-NET cancelled exams since 2024
As per the investigative agency’s report, the MBBS exam’s 2025 question paper was compromised by the same racket, SFI said. “The UGC-NET was similarly cancelled in June 2024 after its paper was leaked, disrupting the plans of over 9 lakh aspirants,” it added.
The federation also highlighted the issues over CBSE’s newly introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, and said that multiple individuals have demonstrated its vulnerability to tampering.
The student body warned that the credibility of the entire examination system has collapsed given the denial of authorities in charge.
Furthermore, it also flagged the CUET’s repeated breakdowns, postponements and scoring issues, calling the pattern a “systemic failure rather than isolated incidents.”
SFI has also accused the government of suppressing student dissent , and alleged that those protesting exam irregularities were labelled as anti-nationals.
“When the marks of lakhs of school students can be tampered with easily, and the response of those in charge is denial, the credibility of the entire examination system has collapsed,” SIF added.
Therefore, the federation has demanded to decentralise exams, cancel OSM evaluation, conduct a judicial probe into the NEET, and CBSE, and compensate affected students.
