SSB Odisha registration begins for 1,061 posts; age limit, application fee

NEW DELHI: The State Selection Board (SSB) Odisha has opened the registration window for recruitment to the post of Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) in non-government-aided higher secondary schools in Odisha. The last date to apply for the SSB Odisha application form is April 18.
The SSB Odisha recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 1,061 PGT posts. Eligible candidates can fill out the application form by visiting the official website at ssbodisha.ac.in.
The candidates from scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and persons with disabilities (PwD) categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 200, whereas Rs 500 is applicable to unreserved (UR), socially and economically backward classes (SEBC) category candidates.
To be eligible for the Odisha SSB exam, the candidate's age should be between 21 years old to 38 years old as of January 2024. The upper age limit relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates.
As per the official notice, the written exam will be conducted at Balasore, Berhampur, Bhawanipatna, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jeypore, Keonjhar, Rourkela and Sambalpur depending upon the number of candidates from the respective zone.

SSB Odisha Recruitment 2024: Exam pattern
The final selection of the candidates will be based on scores in optical mark recognition (OMR) based written exam and career assessment test. The written exam will carry 150 marks and will be in the form of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
The written exam will have 100 questions each carrying 1.5 marks, with a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer. Candidates will get a duration of two hours to complete the written exam.
The qualifying marks for candidates belonging to the unreserved category will be 40%, while for candidates from SC, ST, SEBC and PwD categories, it will be 30%.
